We’ve all been there, right? You have a bunch of people coming for a Barbecue or movie night or a kids birthday party. You’ve got a ton of food, and much of that food has options. It doesn’t matter if you’re serving burgers, tacos or if you just have a variety of salad toppers available. It’s always more fun if your guests and family can pick their own toppings. But what happens when you need those condiments to stay cool, like pickles or salad dressings?
That’s where the KOVOT Condiment tray comes in. This handy tray uses the same principles that restaurant cold boxes do. It stores anything you want to keep cool over a chamber full of ice, ensuring that veggies stay crisp and fresh for hours, or that your ranch dressing is just as chilled as it was when you put it on the buffet table or brought it out to the picnic.
The four removable trays hold up to 2 1/2 cups each, which is a whole lot more than you’d think, folks. I was expecting a smallish container here, but this thing is actually quite massive. It will easily store and keep a boatload of condiments or toppings chilled. Think about 3 full sliced bell peppers, a full 6 sliced hardboiled eggs, two or three sliced onions, and a half jar of stuffed olives. All at the same time. If you’re doing a burger bar, you can easily handle 8 to 10 people’s worth of pickles, roasted peppers, tomato slices and shredded lettuce. no sweat.

I’m positive that you could find a thousand different creative uses for this tray. For me, this would be the perfect grill-side companion for stir frys. (Yes, I stir fry on a grill, using a comal.)

I’d call this one a winner on all levels. It’s a solid product that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. As a host, it will save you time, effort and worry over food safety and you can even store leftovers in the trays. Just wrap them in cling-wrap and toss them in the fridge until needed.
