This is Puck. He’s just about 2 years old, and he loves real meat, tacos, salsa, rice (and just about anything else he can get his paws on.) He’s our family member, support-giver, and the resident sleeper between mom and dad in bed. Under the covers, of course. He loves long walks pretty much anywhere, raiding the trash when he thinks nobody is looking and getting scratched just above his tail. He also adores Grain Free dog food. A lot.
He’s spoiled rotten, but we don’t mind.
I thought I’d take a moment just to say thank you to our four-legged family member. He’s always there when you need a shoulder to lean on (And he’s big enough that you can lean on him. He doesn’t mind.). He listens to our troubles without complaint and he’s the first to let me know that dinner tastes good. Well. At least the parts that I drop on the floor, which may or may not be deliberate, and I’m not telling either way. He knows.
He loves his boys. A lot. If anything, they spoil him more than us adults do.
This guy deserves special treatment. So when it’s time for him to eat, we want him to have the best. For us, that means that the food we give our gentle giant needs to be healthy and natural, because we want him around to spoil for a long, long time, and we want him to be healthy and happy while we’re at it.
For him it means that there needs to be real meat in his food (Well, that really is all that he cares about anyway, but that’s a different story.).
Of course that leads us, the pup parents, to the daunting landscape that is the pet food aisle at our local H-E-B. (If you’re from Texas, you know that H-E-B is the only place to shop, and we love ours to death.) Of course, it’s a huge store, so there are a LOT of choices.
But we know our pooch, and Puck’s favorite treat in the history of all mankind is lamb. Period. End of story. That makes pampering him a lot easier, but you gotta get about halfway down the aisle to find the right stuff, and the right stuff is Purina® Beyond® Grain Free Dog Food. He eats this stuff up like there’s no tomorrow. Seriously.
