Snickerdoodles Recipe
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • ¼ cup sugar mixed with 2 tsp. cinnamon
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix together flour, cream of tartar and baking soda, set aside.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs on at-a-time, add vanilla. reduce mixer speed to low and mix in flour mixture until combined.
  3. Roll the dough into small balls about the size of a walnut. Roll balls in cinnamon/sugar mixture until coated and place about 1 inch apart on a large baking sheet. (note: if dough is too sticky, chill in refrigerator a bit until it firms.)
  4. Bake for 10 minutes or until tops of cookies are a light golden-brown and somewhat crinkled.
  5. Remove from oven and place on wire rack until cooled completely.
