If you need an appetizer that's fit for a king, but will feed a crowd, and all with minimal effort, you'll love this recipe for sausage cheese balls.
  • 1 pound pork breakfast sausage
  • 3 cups baking mix, such as Jiffy or BisQuick
  • 16 ounces (1 pound) extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • Barbecue sauce, Korean BBQ sauce, Tonkatsu sauce or Pepper gravy for dipping (If desired).
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Mix all ingredients except sauces and roll into approximately 1-inch balls. Arrange on baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Immediately remove from baking sheet and place on a cooling rack or ret on paper towels.
  3. Serve warm or at room temperature with sauce of choice.
