Ale Bread Recipe
  • 2 cups unbleached flour
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 12 oz can beer or ale (not lite beer!)
  • 1 handful chopped green onions
  • 1 handful grated cheese
  1. Stir flour, salt and baking powder together. Add beer. Stir in green onion and cheese if desired. Knead dough briefly, adding more flour if sticky. shape into a round loaf and place on a greased pie pan or on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes or until golden brown and loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
